The Owen County Teen Alcohol Prevention Project exists to build
collaborative partnerships among community members and employ
specific community strategies in order to decrease youth alcohol use
in the community and eventually to expect an alcohol-free community.

This project funded by The Commonwealth Alliance for Substance Abuse/ State Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant

Goals

· Decrease youth alcohol use by 5% by 2010
· Decrease number of alcohol-related law violations in the school district
· Decrease high rate of teen violent death rate
· Increase by 5 % the perception of harm of alcohol use
· Decrease availability to alcohol by youth
· Create a sustainable initiative to effectively address underage drinking.
